Williamson tons gives New Zealand victory

Umesh Yadav started brillantly with the ball for India removing MJ Guptill in the very first over. It was the partnership of TWM Latham and KS Williamson that brought a fight back for the kiwis. They put on a partnership of 120 runs from 121 balls. The middle order could not score much runs for the kiwis but it was the captain KS Williamson who went on to score a century. KS Williamson scored 118 runs from 128 balls which helped New Zealand to put on a fighting total. JJ Bumrah and A Mishra took 3 wicket each while UT Yadav, AR Patel and KM Jadhav was able to take a wicket each. In reply, India started off poorly. Their top order got out too early and the main heart break was when Virat Kohli got out in 11th over. MS Dhoni and KM Jadhav put some fighting effort but eventually they got out in late 30's and early 40's. Though, the lower order fighted till the last over but the kiwis was able to pull off a thriller. It was in the 40th over where the match turn around in New Zealand's favour, as Guptill picked up 2 wickets in that over. Even, TA Boult bowled brillantly as he gave only 25 runs in 10 overs picking up 2 wickets. TG Southee was the highest wicket taker for the kiwis as he took 3 wickets.
This was New Zealand first victory against India in this tour. Kane Williamson was adjusted the man of the match for his brilliant century.
