Nepal has been defeated in the last match of Scotland's triangular ODI series under ICC Men's World Cup League Two. Nepal lost to the home team by 8 wickets in the match held on Sunday at Taiwad Cricket Ground in Scotland.

Scotland completed the target of 129 runs given by Nepal by losing 2 wickets in 19 overs. Callum McLeod played a half-century of 64 runs in Scotland's victory. Similarly, Kelly Coetzer added 44 unbeaten runs while captain Richie Berrington added 4 unbeaten runs.

Nepal's Sompal Kami and captain Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 1/1 wicket.

Earlier, Nepal lost the toss and batted first, scoring 128 runs in 35 overs. Aasif Sheikh scored the highest 40 runs for Nepal. Binod Bhandari added 13 runs while Dev Khanal and Rohit Paudel scored 10 runs each. Opener Kushal Bhurtel was out for 3 runs while Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami and Karan KC scored 7 runs each. Aarif Sheikh couldn't open his account as he was out for a duck.

While Sandeep Lamichhane dismissed for 22 runs, Kishor Mahato remained unbeaten at 0.

Hamza Tahir of Scotland took 4 wickets and Mark Watt 3 wickets. Gavin Main took 2 wickets.

With this loss, Nepal has managed to win only one match in the 4 matches of the series. Nepal defeated Scotland by 5 wickets in the previous meeting. However, Nepal lost to Namibia in both matches. Scotland has also avenged the defeat in the first meeting against Nepal.

Nepal is in the sixth place in the points table of League Two. Nepal has scored 17 points in 20 matches. Scotland is in second place. Scotland has 34 points in 24 games.
