After captain Sandeep Lamichhane's exemplary bowling performance, Nepal restricted Namibia to a moderate score in the World Cup Cricket League 2 on Saturday. Namibia won the toss and were bowled out for 199 runs in 49.2 overs.

Namibia got off to a good start. Nepali captain Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 4 wickets to bring Nepal back to the game. Sandeep, who also took 4 wickets in the first match against Namibia, spent 29 runs with 2 maidens in 10 overs.

He bowled Craig Williams for 5, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton for 19 and Jan Frylinck for 3 runs, and captain Gerhard Erasmus was stumped by wicketkeeper Aasif Shaikh for 53 runs. Erasmus played 70 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six.

Sompal Kami dismissed both the openers. Sompal bowled Lo-handre Louwrens for 2 and Divan la Cock for 27 runs. Cock played 30 balls and hit 5 fours. Sompal spent only 33 runs in 10 overs.

Bashir Ahmed dismissed JJ Smit for 27 runs. Smit hit Bashir for a four and a six in the two balls before his dismissal. Namibia's unfortunate runout got David Wiese  in the 46th over. Wiese, who was out of the crease, returned to the pavilion after Aadil Alam hit the stumps at non-striker after Ruben Trumpelmann's drive.

Wiese shared an important partnership of 43 runs with Trumpelmann for the eighth wicket. Trumpelmann scored 19 runs off 35 balls with 1 boundary. He was dismissed by Dipendra Singh Airee. Dipendra dismissed the last batter, Bernard Scholtz , for 2 runs.

Nepal, who is playing the fifth series in League 2, was defeated by 40 runs by Namibia in the first match on Monday. In the following match, Nepal made an excellent comeback with a 5-wicket victory over Scotland.
