Man City will face their fierce rivals Man United in the 142nd FA Cup final on Saturday. The cup final will take place at Wembley Stadium at 3 pm (Local time). If Man City beats their neighbors, they will be one step closer to the Treble. Man United is the only English team to win the Treble in the 1998/99 season. However, there is a high probability Man City might be the second one to join them.

Man Utd will be trying to get their hands on the trophy for the 13th time whereas the other part of Manchester will be aiming for their 7th one. Only Arsenal have won more FA Cup trophies(14) in the competition's history.

Man Utd beat Premier League rivals Brighton 7-6 on penalties after playing a goalless draw in the semis whereas the league winners dismantled Sheffield United thanks to a Riyad Mahrez hattrick.

The English Rivals will be facing for the third time this season. At Etihad, Man City hammered Man Utd with a scoreline of 6-3. But in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, Man City fell short of just 1 goal as they lost the game 2-1.

Pep Guardiola's side are yet to concede a single goal in the oldest domestic cup of English football and scored astonishing 17 goals in the route. But surely, Man United will look to shock Man City to win their second trophy this season after the Carabao Cup and keep their treble record safe.

Unfortunately, to turn the tables, Erik Ten Hag’s players will have to tactically master the game considering Man City are a tough team to beat. They have only lost one i.e. against Brentford in their last 26 games in all competitions.

Ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final, Man United will be without multiple attacking options to counter Man City. The Red Devils striker Anthony Martial will be out with a hamstring injury and the Brazilian winger will be out after facing injury against Chelsea. Likewise, United’s best defender is already sidelined for months.

On the other side of  Manchester, The Citizens don't have a major injury concern. City rested many top players including Grealish, Debryune, and Dias after the league was won. So the star-studded team will be ready to face the noisy neighburs. The Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season striker Erling Haaland will be aiming to add another goal to his tally. The record-breaking superstar has scored 52 goals in all competitions for Manchester City this season.

On the other hand, Man United player of the year Rashford will try to increase his goal tally in the FA Cup final. The England international has 30 goals and 11 assists for Man Utd this season, being the only player to score 30 goals after Van Persie in the 2012/2013 season.

Possible Starting XI

Manchester City

Ederson(GK), Walker, Dias, Akanji, Stones, Rodri, Gundogan(C), De Bryune, Silva, Grealish, Haaland

Manchester United

De Gea(GK), Wan- Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes(C), Sancho, Rashford, Garnacho

Predictions

Man City 3 - 1 Man United

Considering the last four results of the Manchester Derby, Man City have thrashed Man United with a scoreline of 12-3 making City the clear favorites. Man City arguably has the best overall team and will definitely have more possession of the ball.

Nonetheless, Man City shall not take United lightly, considering they are a dangerous team on counter-attacks. Both the Red and Blue side of Manchester will be looking to add a second trophy to their cabinet.
