Kohli's magic seals the show for India

On batting first, New Zealand scored 285 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 50 overs. New Zealand started off well with MJ Guptill scoring quickly but he got out cheaply. The suprise package was Kedar Jadav who took the wicket of KS Williamson. TWM Latham again played well and was able to scored a half century. New Zealand was struggling at 199/8 then James Neesham and Matt Henry added 84 runs for the ninth wicket to rejuvenate their innings and the kiwis was able to put on a target of 286. UT Yadav and KM Jadav took 3 wickets each while JJ Bumrah and A Mishra took 2 wickets each. In reply, India openers started off poorly and both got out cheaply. Then,MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli put on a partnership of 151 runs for third wicket which turn the match around in India's favour. MS Dhoni promoted himself up the order at No 4 which was indeed a right decision. MS Dhoni scored 80 runs of 91 balls while Virat Kohli scored a brilliant 154 runs from just 134 balls. MJ Henry was able to take 2 wickets and TG Southee took 1 wicket.
Virat Kohli was adjusted the man of the match award for his excellent performance with the bat scoring 154 runs from just 134 balls.
