Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Delhi Daredevils by 4 wickets and climb to the top in the points table in the ongoing VIVO IPL 2017. This is 4th win for KKR out of 5 matches this season.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. Delhi started well with Sanju Samson (39) and Sam Billings (21) as they put on 53 runs for the opening stand. Almost all batsmen got starts at the top and middle order for Delhi but no one could play a big inning. Karun Nair (21), Shreyas Iyer (26) and Rishab Pant (38) looked good. Nathan Coulter-Nile was brilliant with the ball for KKR as he finished with the figures of 3-22.

KKR in reply didn't look good until Manish Paney and Yusuf Pathan put on a century run partnership for fourth wicket. KKR were once struggling at 3-21. The partnership between Manish Pandey who scored 69 runs from 49 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes along with Yusuf Pathan who scored 59 runs with 4 fours and 2 sixes brought KKR back in game. Yusuf Pathan got out to Chris Morris while Manish Pandey remained unbeaten and took his team home in the 5th ball of 20th over. Zaheer Khan and Pat Cummins picked up 2 wickets each for Delhi Daredevils but wasn't enough to take their team to victory.

Nathan Coulter-Nile was named Man of the Match for his excellent bowling performance. With this win, KKR replaced Mumbai Indians at the top of the points table. Mumbai are now placed second with Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad at 3rd and 4th position respectively.
