Chauraha into the playoffs, Kanchanpur and CYC finish at bottom
April 17, 2017 | SportsGuff Team 2.9K ReadsDhanghadi Team Chauraha has secured a place in the playoffs by defeating the top placed Rupandehi Challengers. Chauraha qualified for the playoffs with their better run-rate as they beat Rupandehi by 6 wickets with 54 balls remaining.
Rupandehi won the toss and elected to bat first and managed 91 runs from 20 overs. KC Prakash scored unbeaten 49 runs with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Antim Thapa was the second high scorer with 11 runs while no other batsmen could touch double digit scores. Lalit Rajbansi was the pick of the bowlers for Dhanghadi Team as he finished with the figures of 4-5 from his 4 overs with an economy of mere 1.25. One wicket each shared by Sushan Bhari and Saurav Khanal.
Dhanghadi in reply had to get the target inside 14.3 overs to qualify for the playoffs. A captains knock from Paras Khadka made sure that the team chased down the target in 11 overs.
