Raina out of IPL due to personal reasons
Chennai Super Kings star batsman Suresh Raina is set to miss the upcoming season of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons.
“Raina will not be available in the IPL, which is being shifted from India to UAE due to coronavirus” said CEO Kasi Viswanathan. Raina, who arrived in the UAE for the IPL, has returned to India citing personal reasons.
With the return of Suresh Raina to India, Chennai has suffered another blow. Earlier on Friday, 10 people from the Chennai team were infected with the coronavirus. One of them is said to be a player.
Raina retired from international cricket earlier this month. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement on the same day.
This season's IPL is being held from September 19 to November 10. The IPL matches will be played in three UAE cities Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
