June 4, 2023 | Sushil Thapa 3.7K ReadsWith the end of the regular football season for Real Madrid, Real Madrid will now have focus on building a strong squad to compete for the next season. Real Madrid will always have an eye for the best and knows what their strengths and weakness pretty well.
We have seen how Real Madrid dominates the transfer window in the past where they have managed to steal best talents in the world such as Figo, Ronaldo, Ronaldo Nazario, Bale, Benzema, Beckham, Modric, James Rodriguez and many more. This just shows the dominance of Real Madrid in the transfer market.
This season Real Madrid did have a good squad winning UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Copa Del Rey but many football pundits and fans believe that this team needs a squad rebuild.
Squad Rebuiling Process
For the last few seasons, Real Madrid have not been active in the transfer market. After the Covid-19 crisis struck, Real Madrid's budget were limited and had to plan transfers accordingly as they couldnt spend their budget as planned. This limited for Real Madrid to buy some big name players to strengthen the squad.
The last high Budget transfer Real Madrid spent was a 120M transfer for Eden Hazard from Chelsea which didn't work out at all for the team. Since then Real Madrid's transfer policy have been focused on squad rebuiling where Real Madrid were investing on young talents rather then big names such as Camavinga, Tchoumeni, Endrick, Mendy and Fran Garcia with Alaba and Rudiger being the exception. Real Madrid didn't hesitate to part ways with their legends such as Casemiro,Ramos, Varane, Bale as this was the beginning of their sqaud rebuild.
Transfer's In
Fran Garcia: Real Madrid have signed first player this window and it is Left Back Fran Garcia. Fran who was a former Real Madrid player was signed for 5 million from Rayo Vallecano. Fran had a good season in Laliga and has build experience as a started and showed that he can play in Laliga's intensity. With Ferland Mendy out of form and Camavinga willing to play in the midfield position, it seems like a good transfer for the team.
Transfer Rumours
With the future of Karim Benzema yet not sure at the club, Real Madrid will be eyeing for some strikers to play for them next season. Carlo Ancelloti has asked for a world class striker whereas the board is eyeing for a backup striker.
Harry Kane, Oshimen: If Benzema departs then Real Madrid will eye on big money moves such as Harry Kane or Oshimen who are in red hot form. However they would cost a lot of money and Oshimen is targeted by other giant clubs as well. Harry Kane's age is another concern for the boards to spend huge amount on him.
Firmino, Joselu, Raul De Thomas: If Benzema plans to stay then Real Madrid will look for a backup striker in any one among these three. Firmino with no club at the moment seems the number one target as everyone is aware of his talent. Joselu is also in hot discussions and in talks to join as a backup striker.
Real Madrid are also eyeing to build the strongest midfield for years to come with Camavinga, Tchoumeni, Valverde already claming their spots, they also plan to make big money move for
Jude Bellingham: The sensational young midfielder taking world football by storm is close to join Real Madrid as the probabilty of this transfer is very high. This would mean a big money transfer of around 120-140 million. He would be signed as a future replacement of Luka Modric as he shares similar attibutes to Modric.Personal Terms have already been agreed and only official announcement is left.
