South Africa chase 211 to take 1-0 lead

South Africa defeated top T20I ranked Indian team by 7 wickets in the first match of the series at Delhi. South Africa chased down a mammoth target of 212 runs with 7 wickets and 5 balls remaining to take 1-0 lead in the 5 match series.

Rassie van der Dussen smashed 75 runs from just 46 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. He added an unbeaten partnership of 131 runs with David Miller to guide the visiting team over victory line.

Miller scored 31 ball 64 which included 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat. India finished on 211/4 from 20 overs. 

Ishan Kishan scored 76 runs from 48 balls while Shreyas Iyer contributed 36 runs for the home side.
