Rabada powers South Africa to historic Win

Kagiso Rabada took 5 wickets in second innings and 2 in the first to help South Africa defeat Australia by 177 runs. South Africa have now won 3 successive matches at the WACA and are now chasing the record of 5 successive wins at the WACA set by the great West Indies team of the 80s and 90s.
Losing Dale Steyn of injury in the first innings many expected South African bowling line up to struggle but Rabada took the responsibility producing man of the match performance. South Africa batted first in the match winning the toss. Quinton de Kock scored 84 runs off 101 balls and Temba Bavuma contributed 51 runs to the score board to help South Africa make a total of 242 runs. Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets and Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets for Australia. David Warner started the innings and bagged quick runs before being caught on Dale Steyn delivery. Warner played a brilliant knock of 97 runs for Australia and Shaun Marsh scored 63 runs for the kangaroos. Rest of the batting lineup failed to contribute much to the score board. Vernon Philander and Keshav Maharaj were the star of Proteas bowling line up taking 4 and 3 wickets respectively to bowl out Australia for 244 runs.
South Africa batted superbly in the second innings despite losing Stephan Cook and Hashim Amla quickly. Dean Elgar scored 127 runs and JP Duminy played a superb knock of 141 runs. Quinton De Kock again looked in good touch scoring 64 runs. Vernon Philander looked great with the bat in the second innings scoring 73 runs. South Africa declared their innings with 540 runs on the score board. Australian bowling lineup looked pretty blunt in the second innings. Josh Hazlewood ,Peter Siddle and Mitchell Marsh took 2 wickets each for them. David Warner and Shaun Marsh opened the innings for Australia chasing the mammoth target of 539 runs. They scored 35 and 15 runs respectively. Usman Khawaja then looked good with the bat before being caught lbw by Duminy on 97 runs. Peter Nevill scored 60 runs for them before being bowled out for 361 runs.
Kagiso Rabada took 5 wickets for Proteas.
