Nepali squad for U19 World Cup Qualifiers announced
June 19, 2017 | SportsGuff Team 2.8K Reads18 member squad has been selected for the Nepali team that will participate in the Under 19 ICC World Cup Cricket Qualifier to be held in Singapore. Nepal will compete against Afghanistan, Singapore and Malaysia in the qualifier.
The selection was made by a three member team comprising of national cricket team coach Jagat Tamata, U19 cricket team coach Binod Das and ICC Asia Chief Development Officer Venkatapathi Raju.
Binod Das had confirmed that the players will travel to India for preparing for the tournament and will play against some local sides in Noida before embarking on their journey to Singapore. Few players have played in the recently concluded Dhangadhi Premier League and the inaugural Prime Minister’s One Day Cup.
