Afghanistan beat Nepal by 141 runs in the ongoing ICC Asia U19 World Cup Qualfier. Afghanistan sit on the top of points table with 3 consecutive wins.
Nepal won the toss and elected to field first. Afghanistan got off to a good start as the openers added 75 runs for the first wicket. Ibrahim Zadran scored 43 runs while Naveed Obaid added 33 runs. Afghanistan lost their way afterwards to get allout for 190 runs from 49.4 overs. Shahab Alam picked up 3 wickets while Sandip Lamichhane and Pawan Sarraf chipped in with 2 wickets each for Nepal.
Chasing a target of 191, Nepal was allout for just 49 runs from 26 overs. Only one batsman from Nepal got to double digit score as Pawan Sarraf scored a 52 ball 26. Naveen-ul-Haq completed a hattrick as he picked up wickets of Dipendra Singh AIree, Pranit Thapa Magar and Anil Sah in consecutive deliveries. Naveen-ul-Haq and Mujeeb picked up 4 wickets each for Afghanistan.
