Nepal beat Singapore by 22 runs

Nepal defeated Singapore by 22 runs in the ongoing ICC Asia U19 World Cup Qualfier. This is the third win for Nepali team out of 4 matches played.

Nepal elected to bat first after winning the toss and put on 168 runs from 46.5 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee was the top scorer for Nepal with his 83 ball 54 including 2 sixes and 2 fours. Sandeep Sunar scored 26 runs at the top of the order while Prakash KC scored 23 runs. Bikram Biswaray was the pick of the bowlers for Singapore as he finished with the figures of 3-29.

Singapore in reply added 40 runs for the first wickets. After losing first wicket for 40 runs, second wicket fell when the score was 76 runs. Singapore kept on losing wickets on regular interval as they fell short of the target by 22 runs. Rohan Rangarajan (23), Sean Agarwal (21), Sidhant (25) and Hanshul Deep (32) got start for Singapore but couldn't guide their team to victory. Skipper Sandeep Lamichhane was once again star with the bowl for Nepali team as he picked up 4 wickets. He finished with excellent figures of 4-22 from his 10 overs.

Afghanistan defeated Malaysia by 10 wickets in the other match to sit at the top of the table with 4 wins out of 4 matches. Nepal is placed at 2nd while Singapore and Malaysia are at 3rd and 4th position respectively.
