Mitchell Marsh Replaced By Imran Tahir In Rising Pune Supergaints
March 24, 2017 | SportsGuff Team 490 ReadsMitchell Marsh who was 1st ruled out of the Test series against India after the 2nd Test match in Bengaluru now has been been ruled out of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 2017.
Mitchell was ruled out because of his left shoulder injury from Test matches against India. Mitchell has been replaced by leg-spinner Imran Tahir in the Rising Pune Supergaints (RPS) team from the registered available player pool list (RAPP) list. As per the player regulations, Rising Pune Sugergaints is allowed to pick any player from the RAPP list if a foreign player of their team is ruled out of the competition.
Imran Tahir who was remain unsold at the auction of the VIVO IPL 2017 has earlier represented Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2016.
BCCI said, "Australia and Rising Pune Supergiant all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the 10th edition of the VIVO IPL owing to a shoulder injury. As Marsh’s replacement, the franchise have roped in South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir into the squad.”
