Bairstow's second fastest test ton blow away New Zealand

Johnny Bairstow slammed a century off just 77 balls to guide England to a5th day victory over New Zealand in second test at Nottingham.

This is the second fastest century by am English batsman in test cricket. The record for fastest century by English batter is in the name of Gilbert Jessop who achieved this feat with a 76 ball hundred against Australia in 1902. However, Bairstow's century is now the fastest century in the fourth innings of a Test match.

Bairstow along with skipper Ben Stokes revived England's chase after the hosts were struggling at 96/4 chasing a target of 299 runs to win.

Bairstow was eventually dismissed for 136 runs from 92 balls which included 14 fours and 7 sixes. Stokes remained unbeaten on 75 off just 70 balls.
